Piner Wins Awards at Local Dance Competition

Sherman High School hosted its first Danceline USA competition on February 8, featuring 13 teams and over 100 competitors from around Texoma.

The Piner Jr. Hi-Steppers earned the following awards in the Junior High division:

  • Best in Category: First Place Award Winner for Military Routine
  • Best in Category: First Place Award Winner for Pom Routine
  • Double Division 1 Award Winner
  • Judges Award
  • First Place Winner Duet: Aria Groves and Averiee Bryan
  • Second Place Winner Duet: Alexia Sanchez and Paisley Scott
  • Second Place Solo Winner: Addyson Chapman

Half of the event proceeds benefited the Sherman Hi-Steppers, who directed the event. They will compete this weekend at the Texas State Championship at Lake Ridge High School.
